Bring your own PayFast merchant account, or let Kingdom Spaces manage payout to your bank account — both are supported. Donors from outside South Africa can give too, with an international Visa or Mastercard.

Questions

How does giving work?

Members give via PayFast, South Africa's own payment gateway — once-off or recurring, in Rand. A donor giving from outside South Africa can still use their own Visa or Mastercard; their card handles the currency conversion.

Can donors give from outside South Africa?

Yes, today, via an international Visa or Mastercard through our existing gateways. Coming soon — Stripe and other international-native payment gateways, for churches or donors who'd rather not route through a South African processor at all.

Do we need our own PayFast merchant account?

No — you can bring your own PayFast account if you have one, or let Kingdom Spaces manage payout to your church's bank account instead. Either way, giving works the same for your members.

What does a giving statement include?

Your church's PBO number, authorized signatory, and an itemized list of the donor's payments for the tax year — generated as a downloadable statement per donor. The system won't generate one until your PBO number is actually on file.

Is our members' data handled with POPIA in mind?

Data protection principles inform how the platform is built — data export and account-deletion requests are supported. We're happy to walk through our specific data-handling approach on a call.

Do we need Planning Center or another ChMS?

Not required — but if you already use Planning Center, Kingdom Spaces syncs people and offers single sign-on alongside it.
